Meet Brian Reardon! Brian’s talent and experience are equally matched with his passion for scratch baking. Growing up in the Boston area, baking has always been a part of Brian’s life. At the age of 5, he started baking bread with his grandmother. At 9, he was excited to receive a 12-piece cake decorating set for Christmas and by 13 he was making 3-tier wedding cakes (he didn’t even drop his first cake until he was 16!).
His passion for baking started young and continued into his adult years as he attended the Culinary Institute of America Hyde Park and the San Francisco Baking Institute. Brian has perfected his craft at various hotels and restaurants in Boston and New York as well as at his own baking company. We were thrilled when he decided to take his passion for baking to Boston Catering and Events.
The norm for many catering companies is using cost effective thaw and bake products. We have sampled them but to us, none are as good as scratch baking. We know an Oreo cookie tastes good, but most agree it dulls in comparison to a homemade chocolate chip cookie baked with quality ingredients. That’s the difference between other catering companies thaw and bake products versus Brian’s cookies, desert bars, brownies and many other specialty treats. They are all created from scratch in our own kitchen by Brian. This also means, if you have an allergy concern, we can tailor the recipe for you or if you want a special kind of dessert not on our menu, we can make it for you. Just let Brian know!
